Bigbob
When i go out i like to net up two or three burrows then go back to the first burrow and pop the ferret in that allows it time to settle down after ive set the pursenets .On one farm the burrows are really deep i net up all six burrows along a ridge with maybe 60/70 pursenets and pop in the ferrets as the burrows are deep it take the ferrets a bit of time to get the rabbits out then it involves a lot of running about for the rabbits .Theres only one farm i run longnets on and its on top of a railway banking 250 yards of nets out and put in up to 10 ferrets and just try to net the rabbits as they run over the top .i used to purse net this banking with up to 300 nets but the rabbit numbers there now its no worth the effort

fert
purse nets could not be botherd with the hassle of setting a long net also pursenets are quicker for when moving from warren to warren saves the bother of having to set and then unset a long net!eddie it takes just as long to set 100 yards of net than it does yo set 15 purse nets. its each to there own i set both longnets purse nets stop nets you have got to look out for the runs in the warren when setting longnets then put your stop nets in these runs to ambush the coneys with longnets you have got to divide the warren up so th rabbit has got less chance of hole hopping. a good lurcher is needed when using longnets
