welshwarrior
I'm looking for a rifle in 38 357 that I can use at the range but also do some foxing with. Any recommendation ideal something that looks a little different maybe a straight pull and can take a sound moderator. What's out there but please no dumb not related arguments. Steel100
Obvious choices are Marlin , Rossi lever guns. Given your stated applications a Marlin with a trigger job might be appropriate, given that it is easier to scope than a Rossi. Alternatively, I think (not certain) that Rossi do a break-open single shot. Not sure what it is like to scope. However, IF you can get hold of one, Ruger produce a .357 bolt gun on the M77 platform - 'M77/357' ?? which would be worth considering. I don't know if they are importing this model into the UK at the moment. Since you are looking specifically at the .357" ctg. I will not bore you with arguments concerning the external ballistics of this round in comparison (say) with the .223R or similar. welshwarrior
Unfortunately the range only allows pistol calibres. 223 is to fast and carries to much energy otherwise it would have been my choice. The m77 sounds a good start I will have look around
