Al69ec
Baiting foxes...... By using an alarm clock fitted with a battery, you can determine the time the fox visits. Place a string securely around the bait and tie the string to one end of the battery. Fix the alarm clock to something solid. When the fox carries the bait off, it pulls the battery out of the alarm clock, stopping the clock. You will find the fox comes back at a very similar time most nights so you can be waiting for him the next time he comes for the bait. Dekers
It's an old trick which worked well with old battery clocks, be careful these days as many use a capacitor to continue use for some time after the battery is disconnected! Chr15j
Modern alt us use battery digital one and put piece of paparazzi between battery and pole to break connection, when Freddie fox takes bait would pull paper out (a la kiddies toys in shops) and turn clock on (usually flashing) then just count time back more complex but same principle if you don't have an analogue clock to hand
