kobidog
I went out shooting last Saturday with just my air rifle with a view to doing some squirrel shooting as the hadn't been many pigeons about recently. Anyway to my suprise when I arrived I saw that the farmer had drilled a field of roughly 20 acres with spring barley the day before, and the were a good 500 pigeons feeding on it!! Anyway as I had frustratingly left my shotugn and all decoying gear at home I didnt bother to shoot the field. I wonder if there would be any point in attempting to shoot it this weekend? (A week after it had been drilled) or will the pigeons have cleared up all the corn on top by now and deserted the field? Thanks
deny essex
Probably all picked clean by now but depending if the birds are still moching around the area and/or flighting across the field if not on it its worth a go. Decoying succesfuly is the art of decieveing the birds into thinking there is something worth going for in your decoy pattern area, hopefully makeing them look close enough for a shot even if not with intent to land. Good luck
