Subaru Forester Suspension

Any experts on Subarus here ?

I had an original model 02 plate Forester then a couple of years ago replaced it with a new 07 Forester (next model along but not the current one).

Now what has happened to both of these cars is that the rear suspension has dropped at least an inch if not two. They both look like the boot is heavily loaded, even when empty ?

My first car had several trips to the garage without fixing it, so before embarking on the same scenario, any one have any ideas?

(PS my first one I definately overlaoded, but I have been careful not to do so with my current car- 180kg max)

My Forester was just factory recalled (53 plate) problems with corrosion in some suspention pars on front 1-100 suposedly. Guess who just had his fail thier test and get his front suspention rebuilt FOC. Its had a very hard life having me as an owner from new and now you mention it mine looks a little low on the rear these days :hmm:

butt-sagg of the rear suspension.

Happened on our 02plate n/a forester, solved with new springs on back

they do seem to sag after a few years.

our model doesnt have the "self levelling" suspension - mainly its the turbo models that had this

the rear shocks have an extra cannister on them (very expensive to replace - so when they fail most people seem to fit non-self leveling suspenion)
