Thunderbird
Yeah they do look pretty good don't they. I might go down to Marcruss Stores in Bristol next week and have a mooch about and if they have nothing more suitable I'll get one.

Wildfowler12
As much as I would love an Eider or a Jarrett Jacket, I can't justify spending that much money on something that will get plastered in mud/blood and salt water etc. Last season I used a Jack Pyke Hunter jacket all year, put it through the machine at the end of the season and looks like new and still doesn't leak. The 2 years prior I used an old wax jacket with a couple of layers underneath. Cheap as chips and did the job just fine
Thunderbird
http://www.fu-kit.com/product.php/169/genuine-austrian-army-surplus-gore-tex-m65-jacket-mens-s-xxl For fowling on the coast these are absolutley fantastic...For less than 30 quid you simpley cannot go wrong. I`ve had mine for over 6 years and its the most waterproof jacket I`ve owned. Although a little dark, after a few trips out the mud makes it far more "camo friendly". Brilliant Jacket. Had a try one of one of these today. Good jacket for the money I reckon. Didn't get one as I think it's a bit too lightweight for what I'm really after. M ROBSON
I suppose my question could have been phrased please recommend a plain shooting jacket that would also be suitable for wildfowling. Nomad or Sportchief
