Eyeline Glasses Question

Recommended Posts

Ive just been to my local opticians to get a pair of prescription lenses fitted to the insert for my eyeline shooting glasses

They have said that they cant fit lenses as the glasses are fairly wrap around. I did question this as the insert is fairly flat and I have seen the inserts fitted before.

Has anyone else used the insert on these glasses or had any issues getting lenses fitted ?

Is there an optician that is happy to fit the lenses ?

working dog,

try these people...

They re-glaze anything provided you have a recent prescription, and are very reasonable. I was recommended them a few months ago and they did me proud with new tinted lenses for clay shooting. They really know their stuff and I'm sure they could help you out. You'd have to send them your glasses and they take about a week.

I know its slightly different but I have just had some lenses made for the top gun glasses. Free prescription from tesco, £20 top gun glasses from ebay, lenses £8.99 from budgetspex.com (you have to pay £6 for return postage) and it cost me 75p to post the insert. From posting the insert to them landing back on my door step was 3 days. I am quite happy with that as all in, prescription shooting glasses with 5 lenses and prescription inserts cost £35.74 :good:

I have just tried out my new glasses, prescription lense fitted to interchangable frames.

The optician understand shooting and I took my stock with me to ensure the meat of the lens is in the correct position.

The result a much better sight picture than I can ever remember having.

Looking forward to giving them a real test on Sunday
