Jimmer
We've got use of a pond with an island on some ground about 5 miles from the main pheasant shoot and not really on any of the guns doorstep so feeding every day by hand isn't going to happen. I've seen people recommend auto feeders at the end of the day, but what about spring feeders on the island would this work? Any help much appreicated

M ROBSON
Ducks will eat whole potatoes once they start to go soft, no need to touch them at all.
Dunteige Mallard
I am keen to find out if other keepers have worked out wheat or barley quantity per duck to produce the best birds possible without over feeding or under feeding. Any ideas?
markm
About 1.5 tonne to the hundred we feed. It depends on how long you feed them for and how long they live. Edited June 24, 2012 by markm
Dunteige Mallard
I will have them on the wheat for around four months from july to october,by that stage they should all be shot. How many weeks is your quantity worked out over?
