Clamps
Just had my dog insurance renewal come through (Sainsburys) - a 30% increase on last year!! - I have had no claims and the dog is not yet 2 years old. The explinaion I got was that vet fees have gone up - they would not offer any discount, so I cancelled. I am not a happy camper - just wondered what other people experiences have been. Sco77w
Yep me too, I'm with e-sure and it went up by 40%. when I phoned re: my renewal I didn't mention the pup as I had a months insurance provided with her vaccinations and the said the increace was down to the dog being a year older. When I asked for a quote to include the pup they wanted the same to insure her too. I'd be interested who others are using and what they're paying. EMcC
I was with E sure until I got my renewal. It went from £143 last year to £257 this year Guess where my renewal is now Yep that's right, in the bin. I managed to take aout a similar policy with Pet Plan for £198, still a lot of money but not up there with E Sure !! The way it is going, I think as from next year I'll just put some money in a pot each month or bank it and hope for the best. Rupert
This is how insurance works, dogs, cars, houses etc. They tempt you in with a good premium and hope your too lazy to shop around again at renewal, millions of people just let the direct debit run. apache
Just beware that if you swap companies anything your pet has been treated for will not be covered under the new insurance. It is best to find a good company and stick to them. Cheap policies are not worth the money.

Exactly. We insure ours with argos. When the renewal came through for twig, it had gone up from £130 last year to £200 in the renewal pack. So we let it lapse by a day, then went online with a new policy. £99 :good: Happens with all insurance. If your happy with the company, don't renew with details through the post, go online and start again Edited April 8, 2012 by turbo33
