Hopefully UK Fowler will chime in, it looks like he has a pretty good handle on reloading big bore shells. His results speak loudly and his reloads look awesome. Perhaps a PM if he doesn't.

If you are reloading steel I would recommend reading a good manual or 2 to get the feel of things. Use proven components and don't deviate, steel isn't especially forgiving. I shoot zinc plated shot (Precision reloading-USA) and Precision Reloading brown wads with Blue Dot powder.

talk to anyone who shoots a ten and they will all say the same! there is no cheep way to do it a press is a few Hundred quid hulls and wads are costly as they have to be shiped over from the states .The only cheep load I can think of is if you can scrounge some old cases and cut them down to 3" and load them with lead and a roll crimp finish or get a few shooters to chip in together and spread the cost. check out fossey,s web site federal 31/2" 10g 21/4oz lead BB £65 -25 :o If you shoot 300 rounds a year its a sound investment if you only shoot a box I would not go to all the hassle

Spend a few quid on LYMANS SHOTSHELL RELOADING HANDBOOK 5th EDITION and READ it see what is involved it has 10g data for all shot types if you still fancy having a go post back up or PM if you need some in depth advice :good:

Thanks for the input. I got the book you sugested abit back and had a read before posting. I have got around 40 once fired cases most of which are roll turned,i was hoping to use them to start with.

Clay and game are local to me has anyone used them? There are a couple of us that use tens so was hoping to spread the cost abit but last season we only had around 60 shots between us. Was going to try stay away from steel but will see how we get on. Thanks again john
