alreet,erm im pretty new to spring guns well ive got a few but hardlys ever used them and since i bought the tx200 i realy love it but its heavier than my rapid 7 or hw100 and i got back pack with a pillow folded up in it and it was resting mint the groupings were tiny! i had a look down the field there was over 20 rabbits sat there and and i actualy confused my self thinkin i can get steady any way i tried standing at first then croutched then the FT position and that was the steadiest but what i was thinking was because when i set my scopes on the pillow rest it was absorbing the recoil but when im shooting fighting the weight of the gun will affect like the accuracy and in the FT position it is resting on my arm that will absorb recoil but i can shoot every thing like that... any one with a springer give me some advice!! because i can rest on a fence post with my hand under that might nock accuracy off ?

THATS THE STEADYEST STANCE I CAN KEEP THE GUN STILL AT

@simon6ppc...

The first air rifles were actually precharged pneumatics and were very effective in battle, google Girandoni to find out about the first air rifles! The spring powered guns came much much later! There have been PCP air rifles longer than there have been spring powered air rifles! Why did they not catch on? Early pumps left a lot to be desired!

The link says it all, master the artillery hold and use that!

I've just bought an HW77 after a break of about 25 years from using air rifles...I've always gripped the forestock firmly; will certainly be giving this a go now.
