Just thought I would say hello.

I am new to the world of airguns but have quite alot of experience i shooting clays with a shotgun.

I have the chance of buying a Air Arms TX200 MK1 complete with Simmonds scope of a mate who hasnt used it for a good many years, he wants £275 for it, is this a fair price ?

Also any other members in Cornwall I live in St Austell and it would be good to make contact with like minded people.

Hi, Seems a bit steep i would say the rifle itself would be worth around £200. Depends which simmons scope it is as some are very good

Dont know what scope it is Im afraid.

Marked on the bottom of the scope it says model 21029 China, magnification is 3-9x40

Well done :good: A fair price for a decent rifle. Maybe us Cornish lads should have a get together one morning. Ive got a lovely coastal permission :D

Hi Angof

Very pleased with the rifle it seems very accurate even with the cheapo scope, just started to play around with different pellets to see what it likes first of AA feilds and maybe Accupells.

It would be great if we could all meet up one day

You should be pleased, The scope will be fine :good:. Im a Weihrauch man myself but i expect that the TX will love AA Fields. They say if you can handle a springer you can shoot anything. Lots of practice for you now my main advice would be get to grips with freestanding shots as i find that most of my shots are taken that way :)

Until I have sampled their produce sir I cannot possibly comment, only Berrymans! MMMMMMMM!!!!

We actually brought a dozen home with us when we were down at Chacewater.... Love Redruth too, beautiful town, great town centre!

Well Trevaskis is in Connor Downs, not far from redruth! Redruth is nice but the further west you go the better it gets in my opinion, glad you enjoyed your time down here, let me know if you intend to holiday again down here.

Cheers :good:, Tis a great permission for early morning but the local syndicate are still lamping the hell out of it so never gonna pick up more than one or two of a morning. They also lamp my other local "Valley" permission but also have a 300 acre farm on The Lizard thats all mine :D, nice mix of grass fields and woodland.

I certainly will, I love to visit Cornwall, I have fished off Winnie the Pooh (Port Isaac - AKA Portwenn), also been Haddock bashing off Viking (Penzance), Nicky Norse skippered her then, damned good skipper, came back with some beautiful haddock, until you have had fresh haddock, under 6 hours old, you have not eaten Haddock, completely different flavour (like Mackerel, fresh is much much better than anything from a fishmonger)!

Been to the Treasure park and all the other usual touristy bits, Carnglaze caverns, St Austell brewery (Walter Hicks, Walter Hicks, Walter Hicks, Walter Hicks, Walter Hicks, Walter Hicks damned fine rum)! We also like getting off the beaten track to find hidden delights, like the woman who makes butter and clotted cream at her farmhouse... I never knew that the Healeys (of sports car fame), were actually a family of Cornish apple farmers too! The wife was very impressed with that, she likes cider!

We managed to time our last trip so mother was able to see The Gondoliers at the Minack theatre!
