Bolting

Recommended Posts

I'd say it depends a bit on the size of the safe and how the cabinet is secured. One of the tiny safes usually picked up for these things probably won't need bolting to the wall, a large one should be as it might provide more leverage allowing the cabinet to be pried from the wall.

Unless it's a major job, I'd just stick a couple of bolts into the wall, and the same between the safe and cabinet. Ensure it is secure and remove all doubt, it's not likely to be a big job, just do whatever you did for the cabinet.

My feo has just been to cheak my safes and was happy .

my gun safe is bolted with 6 x 10/ 60 mm rawl bolts with epoxy resin injected into the holes and the ammo box has two x 10 /60 mm rawl resin filled aswell it's not bolted to the cab it's self and I see no point in messing about.

To get that box off the wall will be a job. And the cab will never move now even if I wanted it to without grinding the studs off the floor.
