Busy Afternoon!

So yesterday afternoon I decided to go and have a sit in the high seat (a chap who the father in law knows uses it for deer shooting), only got HMR but it's great to sit up there and watch the world go by! Anyway....

Within about ten minutes four good size (Sika I think?) hinds came wandering into the field, the camera makes them look further away but trust me they were well within 30yrds! They relaxed after a few mins and two even has a lay down whilst the others fed. After about 20 mins little buck Muntjac buck came rustling out of the bushes and walked right in front of the hedge row! A little time past and off they went, shortly after I turned towards some rustling very close and a squirrel was sat on the plank below me on the high seat frame - he just stared at me with a "what the hell are you doing here" look on his face and then went on his way!

After turning round I spotted a rabbit in the distance so I decided to take it as I wanted a rabbit for some magpie shooting, so I lined up and took the shot, to the head, clean down it went. My third rabbit so far with my new CZ, what a amazing little rifle! Literately seconds after taking the shot I heard a rustle below the seat and down I looked, looking straight back at me was a dog fox!! I couldn't believe it, the boy must of had cojones the size of footballs to be hanging around, he must of heard the shot go off!! I can feel a FEC variation coming soon I think!!

To be honest, if I wasn't so shocked at seeing it I would of had a go....but it was literally under my feet, I doubt I'd have even been able to place a shot - probably more luck dropping the rifle on its head!! :-D
