On arrival at my ground I spotted a buck walking up a hedgerow , unfortunately he spotted me and gave off an alarm bark but still continued to come in my direction. I quickly got ready on my sticks and waited for him to stop as he was bouncing along. As he stopped I fired but he also took off just as I squeezed resulting in a miss I thoroughly checked the site for any sign of a hit but it was a clean miss I continued around the rest of the farm until a young buck jumped out of a rape field literally 5 yards in front of me. He disappeared around the field corner but I guessed due to him being a yearling he wouldn't be far , I was right , as I reached the corner of the rape there he was around 80 yards away looking back at me.
