An extra inch can make all the difference

Won't go into all the ins and outs but, for years I've shot left-handed because of damage to my right eye. Recently I started missing loads so I rechecked eye dominance and, sure enough, my right eye has regained its dominance.

I've gone back to shooting a shotty right handed both eyes open.

Anyway, I went Pigeon shooting on Monday and missed loads of shots that I should have got. I did get ten birds but should have got more. When I got home I did some practice mounting and I realised that, shooting right handed, the gun is 1" too short LOP.

I packed it to make it an inch longer.

Today was a slow Pigeon day but I had five shots and got four kills. One shot was a really good 50yds fast crossing.

The only one I missed was not a surprise because it was a bit too high.

That extra inch has really made a difference and proved to me, again, good gun fit is crucial.
