pin
Not sure of the exact names for some of these places on a shotgun, but here goes. On the 68 series berettas, if you take out the ejectors and the springs out of the guides, the facing areas on the barrels that are under the ejectors are filthy I think I have been over oiling and not wiping it off before using it, the discoloration is quite bad. I have tried some gun cleaner and elbow grease, and the wire jag for cleaning the barrel - it has shifted it a bit, but its not shiny anymore, looks burnt. Is it supposed to be like this? If not, what can I do to clean it? Any help appreciated.
lurcherboy
I use metal polish and then oil/grease them well. LB

Dunkield
Pin, if you have some try some white spirit, but don't get it on the wood of your gun. I have one of those Beretta's and they work best with just a drop or 2 thickish oil no more than that - I use rangoon oil.
