Mate of mine dropped his off on a Monday morning and collected it from them Tuesday afternoon! The way it should be! J.

pat g
Well I posted my variation last Wednesday for a 204 from a 223 and I've just come in from work and it was on the doorstep!! Excellent service from them, well done Jonathan Yep, I have dealt with Northumbria for many years and can only praise them for the service i have recieved. Every dealing from grant to renewals and variations have been dealt with efficiently and always with politeness and courtesy. . Certainly other forces around the country could do well and follow in Northumbria Firearms Licensing Dept footsteps. Why is it some forces can implement and maintain good standards of service whilst others just seem to "make it up as they go along". A good article in last months Sporting Gun Magazine gave an insight into the work of North Yorkshire Police's Firearms Licensing Dept another highly regarded force for their standards of service. And well done to them . It just goes to show that some forces can still provide good service whilst following set guidelines. However there is still a valid argument for Firearm Licensing to be dealt with by an independent and dedicated department rather than police forces. Well done though to those forces that are continuing to give good service . Be interesting to see how you get on with your 204 JJ. Enjoy your purchase ATB, Pat
