Last year some people waited for over 6 months for renewals and were left holding firearms they had no current ticket for, unable to get ammo and failing to get a S7 ticket despite all that. I have been told of one person who patiently waited nearly a year! I suspect his paperwork had got lost and the lack of any complaint from him meant it stayed lost though. 2 months is generally supposed to be enough but there are plenty of places where that is not the case these days.
