alfiem01
I Have just paid out the fee to join a syndicate to shoot over a farm from a member on here, but he says i dont need a permission slip or anything. "Just go and shoot" also he is not the land owner. Advice Please.
Brad93
I'd politely ask for a wording/contact in writing just so you cover your behind if all goes Pete Tong
pontbeck
Ask the shoot captain to introduce you to the farmer. I `ve been in many syndicates and that`s been the usual way forward, no bits of paper giving permission. Bill
apache
What is the name of the syndicate?
ferretfiddler
Always get it in writing is my motto, photo copy it, keep a original, havea copy to hand each time you shoot & give a copy to land owner. That way no probs + if the old bill turn up you have a signed copy of what the land lord has to coloberate your permission
scolopax
Only ever had stalking permissions in writing and that was because they were bona fide leases with a significant amount of money changing hands. Everything else just on a hand shake, so do not get too hung up on getting a wee bit of paper signed, just enjoy your shooting. Verbal permission is enough. ferretfiddler
All very true however if you ever get tugged by the boys in blue a signed piece of paper with either the landowner/managers name can be more believable than that of a hand shake. May seem over the top but why have your shooting disturbed for longer than necessary because some *** has reported someone with a gun :o Only my point of view & the way I do it. Forgot to say straight shooting to all
