Well done cousin. Make sure you leave some for when I come down with the rifles  don't forget to add it to the number of foxes killed by pw members tally :good:

Well done.

I remember my first fox with a shotgun. I was out after rabbits on the back of a quad. I'd shot quite a few rabbits already, when a fox was spotted in the middle of a huge wheat stubble field. The quad driver (Carl) was going to shoot with a rifle, but there was another lamp a few hundred yards back (poachers?) and directly in line. We waited a bit to see if they'd move. They didn't, so Carl accelerated hard towards the fox. Eventually the fox got up and started running. The chase was on. I struggled to hold on as we hurtled across the field at 40-50 mph. I couldn't change my cartridges as i didn't have both hands free. We got within 20 yards of her and i gave her both barrels of 30gm 6. She made it over the ditch but died almost instantly. It was a great feeling. I've shot several foxes with a rifle since, but none were quite as memorable as that first one.
