Crouch valley
Deckers I really can't understand you. You are here on a open public forum saying and I quote (do I perform a full inspection every time NO, do I actually remember the 100% correct method of doing one as per the book, NO). Then you go on to say in another post that how many people follow the rules. Can I remind you it is your legal obligation to check the carcase as you are a so called trained hunter. Put it like this how would you feel if you went to a restaurant and fell ill only to find it was because the chef did not wash his hands after using the loo or as you put it religiously follow thr rules. Its all food hygiene at the end of the day he has a legal obligation the same as you do. I live in the real world were food poisoning dose happen because small things are over looked. If you would like to come on a refresher course just drop us a email

Can I remind you I can LEGALLY do exactly as I want with a carcase for personal consumption, and there are certain rules to adhere to if it goes into the food chain as a "commercial" operation, but NOT for occasional sale, ..there are also a whole load of Game dealers out there that don't give a fig, don't want to see a bag of internal organs and don't have a clue about the specific regs...that is the real world! I would have thought you should know the law as you are lecturing people on it, apparently not! Perhaps you should include this in your course http://www.food.gov.uk/multimedia/pdfs/draftwildgameguide.pdf Put it like this how would you feel if you went to a restaurant and fell ill only to find it was because the chef did not wash his hands after using the loo or as you put it religiously follow thr rules.
