Ferretboy111
Went ferreting today, was amazing, started just after 8 and finished at 12. Managed 14 all together, 8 from one 30 hole warren, all bar 1 bolted! Smashing good fun. We stopped so early because one of my ferrets in a box we hadnt used was being violently sick and was as still as..... well a still ferret, it had no energy and couldnt stand or anything. So we had to rush her to the vets to get her sorted out, still there but moving about now. Fingers crossed.
Ferret Master
I hope she recovers soon. Do you think she was suffering from the heat? We are going to wait until the first heavy frosts to kill back the undergrowth before we go ferreting. FM

Frank
Apparently, their is a bad bug going around that is effecting ferrets, not killing them as such, but vomiting and the runs are common. Great bag of bunnys FB Frank.
Ferretboy111
I usually wait till later in the season, but these holes are around huge wood which are really clear, as in just bare earth, so easy to put nets down and ferrets. Vet says she is walking about now and drinking but stil not eating, her temperature was low so i doubt it was the heat, just some stomach bug or she ate summit she shouldnt. Keep ya posted. Alex p.s so much easier to do the 30 hole warren using two collared up ferrets.

Ferretboy111
Make sure you have a locator and leave them atleast till they are around a year old. Heard a few days ago that some young lads bought 2 jills 14 weeks old and worked them straight away without a collar and lost them both, pillocks.
