la bala
hi lads, i have had a hawke 6x24x50 about a month, if i scope something, turn the focus for a crisp image then look at the range, it seems to be reading 25yds longer. ie 125yd reading is a 100yds. 100yd reading is 75yds. dont know if its my eye or the scope. anyone use model scope having the same problem? chrispti
hi lads, i have had a hawke 6x24x50 about a month, if i scope something, turn the focus for a crisp image then look at the range, it seems to be reading 25yds longer. ie 125yd reading is a 100yds. 100yd reading is 75yds. dont know if its my eye or the scope. anyone use model scope having the same problem? They are not accurate. I placed a coke can at 20, 25, 30, 35 yds etc etc, up to 60 yrds. I focused in on one coke can at a time, and where it looked like a clear image (to me) I put a small thin line of tip-ex on the bell end of the scope (where the original inaccurate range markings are) to mark that particular range. I did that with all the ranges. So then you will have all the ranges marked out on you scope, accurate to your eye Edit to add; If yours is the side wheel focus, you can still do the same but mark the side wheel. The larger the wheel the better Edited July 5, 2012 by chrispti
