Mounting birds on magent

Recommended Posts

My first foray into using a magnet so could use your help and advice here gents.

Its a seeland 2 arm version (and purchased it for peanuts secound hand) with what I can only descibe as like cradles on the arms for mounting the birds. However there doest seem a logical way to hold the wings extended.

I have a couple of hypaflaps for it to start of with and attach a photo below for referance. Do I need to somehow mount some wing spreaders on the cradle or am I missing something? and perhaps just stick to hypaflaps as from what I hear these produce decent results.

The Seeland rotarys I have seen have an arm that sticks out of the end of the main arm (which you can put your hypaflaps on) and als a sort of dead bird cradle fitting (for the dead bird) as per the picture below.

Its possible you don't have these fittings.
