In Tottenham today I witnessed groups of parakeets flying screaming there head off with a sparrow hawk chasing them.ive also witnessed them flying around while decoying on the general licence it says you can shoot them anyone knocked any down

Turned up to the field about 8am looking around to see flight lines when the farmer turned up showing his brand new 2 day old New Holland tractor he said they had a pheasant shoot on Saturday and also shot a lot of pigeons, he said try the rape on the other field you wont find pigeons here today we done a lot of shooting here during the week. So I thought lets go to the rape field it was absolutely empty not even a sparrow so drove back to the field, it was around 9 opened the flask for a cuppa when pigeons started landing in front of us so parked the muddy 4x4 on the edge of the field sat under the tree no decoys or hide just gun and cartridge bag the wind was howling all over, so put my new hat on from the pound store sat under the tree. after about 5 mins one lone pigeon passes bang down 50 yards out clean kill then all of a sudden pigeons poured in from the trees must of all been sleeping they just flew straight passed and I shot them as they passed by it was a flight line indeed very sporting shots. was a struggle getting the pigeons due to the field being very muddy and the pigeons being blown away from the wind after being shot, was a great day much enjoyed and kept the farmer happy finished with 40 pigeons for 52 carts.
