remy 700
I seem to have no joy with a red filter for fox is this the case with others , perhaps another colour to dampen the lamp? cheers remy
al4x
all depends on your foxes and whether they have been lamped before, you can try no filter or amber and see how it goes. we find a decent dimmer makes more difference, once spotted you can then dim it right down to monitor and try and call then increase for the shot. Frenchieboy
I find that red filter seems to dampen the brilliance of the lamp cutting down on the range of the beam. I use an amber filter which seems to do the job quite well. I'm sure that others will be along to offer their thoughts too!
