Hi all I'm looking to purchase a magnet/rotary and flapper

I haven't bought them before and know very little about them so any help or advice would be great

Ideally if like a complete package, I.e battery's etc

One thing I have seen advertised is timers / remotes are these essential?

Thanks

The site sponsors do some good kits , I would say a timer is really needed with a flapper , remotes and speed controllers you can do without , with the magnet just let it run as quick as it will go.

I had a remote for my flapper but ended up selling it as i was concentrating more on pressing buttons than the pigeon I was suppose to be shooting and it was costing me birds.

Thanks for the replys

So I need a rotary, battery, charger, bag for it to go in, arms and the v spreaders?

As for the flapper, unit, battery, and random timer?

Anything I'm missing?

Thanks

If you go for the ukshootwarehouse magnet and flapper kit then the flapper battery is included , you will need something like a 17amp/hr battery for the magnet I use the Ritar ones you can get off Ebay for around £30 delivered they seem to hold a charge well enough for around 7-8 hrs shooting .

The wing spreaders are normally included with the magnet so you dont need those.

As for a bag I dont bother as I have enough gear hanging around my neck as it is , I just carry it in a spare hand.
