aister
it will be used as an interpretive center for "viking unst", there is a replica of the gokstad ship along side the longhouse so when its finished it will be like a viking village. i gurante there will be one feast and plenty of drink taken and thats when we are finished . Sprackles
Well I'm up for a bit of debauchery and pillaging, according to my doc, I'm descended from Vikings due to some sort of lump on my hand that only Nordics get. Then again, my home town was founded by Grim the Dane. Do I qualify....? Stunning.building....really do wish I could get to see it in action. Kes
Beautiful building but who designed the front porch? I bet it wasnt Ragnar - his hall had a crappy wooden door in the end of the planked side wall of the building itself - (see the film) However, as 'modern ' as this bit of the structure appears it cannot detract from the effort, blood sweat and tears that must have gone into it - it shows its been 'loved'. Hope it lasts until the next Viking raids !!
