Paxtond
Hi Guys. Very close to getting my ticket granted have all my small bore stuff sorted but am a little lost with the Full bore. Having done a bit of Full bore shooting i have decided i prefer smallbore so will stick with that for competitive shoot and do fullbore as more of a fun sport. we have a limited number of trips to bisley (13 a year) so i dont want to go crazy on the gun. ive recently fallen in love with a Tikka T3 varmit Stainless .308 have any of you guys used one of these for long range target work?, i know they are more well known for hunting, we shoot up to 1000 yards. I know there are better guns out there but as i am pretty new to full bore i think i will be the limiting factor well before the gun I plan to shoot from a bipod with a scope. any advise or recomendations would be great. oz gun
Gday. Any Sako model rifle shoots well. 100 meters out of the box will give you .5 MOA or beter. .308 will shot out to 1000 yards but would not have the grouping as a F Class rifle. If you going to shot in comp's then the T3 will not be up to the job for the longer range shots. Google F class rifles.
gazzala
Not one hundred % sure but if you have got your heart set on a t3 try the t3 tactical in 308 . Slightly better barrel ( match grade ) I think

Google F class rifles. well i have seen them do quite well against stiff competition. my first choice would be the savage FTR though as its designed specifically fot the task and hand. within weight limits but not too light etc. it also has easily interchangeable barrels for future maintenance this could come in handy (not a kitchen table job mind)
