Air Rifle, need advice on lamping. Hitchin Stevenage area

I have a permission to shoot Rabbits, Crows etc on a Golf course. So late night and or early mornings only.

I am new to Air Rifles and lamping and need assistance and training, can someone out there help me? But it has to be someone who knows what they are doing, not someone that just wants to have a go at shooting: that can come later when I know what I am doing.

I have a PCP 177 Air Arms S410 with 10 shot magazine, and most importantly a place to shoot the Rabbits.

Over to you

Terry,

Out of curiosity how did you get the permission on the Golf course? On a walk at the weekend near a golf course local to me there were loads of rabbits in the area and on some other land near the golf course (digging huge warrens into somebodies back garden). I have found a map and marked the nearest houses and will be popping round tomorrow to see if i can get some permissions for my air rifle.

Hopefully the knock and ask approach will be enough. There are so many rabbits there i really hope i can get it :(

ETA

I have not been lamping myself but have done lots of research for when the time comes and i get my own permissions, but if you ever want a spare hand to come along you are welcome to give me a shout :)

That is the way to do it.

Drop into the golf course, leave all your info plus copies of insurance etc, and when you are available to shoot.

Remember most if not all golf course's will not allow shooting when the Golfers are out, so it is the unsociable hours job.

Good luck
