Cthomas41
Hi all got out pigeon shooting for the first time this season yesterday and had a great time and a lot of success. But I'm using the old mans decoys and decided to get out and get my own kit. is it best i get shell or full bodied and flocked or unflocked or does any of this actually matter? i was drawing the pigeons in well with my dads 40 year old decoys so i know it isn't everything but if I'm to spend money getting decent kit i want the best so any advice welcome lads cheers
deny essex
Flocked shells, easier than full bodied to transport , lighter and dont shine in the sun, easy to shake any rain off.
chrisjpainter
flocked shells are far easier! the only slight advantage of the full bodied jobs is for placing in trees/on fences if appropriate, but 90% of the time they just take up so much room! For me, a stack of six shells takes up the same amount of space as 1 full bodied pigeon, so it's a no brainer really when it comes to weight and space
