sitsinhedges
Just use 21grains for 24-30 grams of shot with a cx2000 primer and a suitable plastic or fibre wad in a 70mm case. That's it. Edited September 9, 2012 by sitsinhedges
laurielexus
If you have a fiber wad do you have to have a gas seal or a card under it?
sitsinhedges
If you have a fiber wad do you have to have a gas seal or a card under it? Yes for 28gram I recall it's a 4mm card and a 21mm fibre wad in a 70mm case.

fieldwanderer
I'm using 21.5gns AS to 30g shot and a suitable plastic wad. Burns very cleanly and I'm very happy with the results.

I was using 21grains with a weaker cx1000 primer over 28grams of 6 shot yesterday for some excellent long range kills on the pigeons. Floating Chamber
I would be using Vectan A1 with that load!
Mick Shaw
I use 20.5 grains of A.S. with 28 grams of shot and CX 2000 with plastic wad, and I still have all my own teeth.!! Mick.
Guest cookoff013
i use 18 grain under 32grams of #4. cx2000 and 4mm powdercard and 20mm fibre. subsonic
Guest cookoff013
I would be using Vectan A1 with that load! so very wise, i cant see vectan AS being the powder to break 1oz @ 1500fps although there are some recipes stating that it does, just looking loosely at the data A1 is a more suitable candidate for fast 1oz and standard 32g loads. i would use AS for standard 1oz and fast 24g loads. but that is it for that powder.
