Joe Robbo
I'm after some radios for shooting this year as were becoming more organised (Thankfully). What would you guys recommend not wanting to pay a fortune however would like something reasonable which will do the job well. Obviously nothing which requires a licence. neil3728
What sort of range are you looking for and what will the terrain be like. You could try a basic handheld cb radio but they are limited to a few miles. Is there a reason why you don't want to go through a licence for a radio. Lowland farm land, pretty flat for the most part. I just don't feel its worth the hassle as the extra power isn't needed.
neil3728
If the land is flat then basic handheld cb radio's should be fine. depending on the range you are looking for a cheap PMR radio from argos might work.

12borejimbo
We use icom and they are great, before that we had some cheaoy cobra and they where not that great, made an annoying beeping noise after the other person let go of the "comm" button and also could not hear that well. Ok for the money but buy decent and buy twice. We have 6 icom radios now, great bits of kit!
Salop Matt
I agree with spring buck, buy Cobras - I was told at the MGF a few years ago that they are basically motoralla`s ! I have a pair and there excellent ! Sadly radios didnt work on our shoot as they caused confusion ! But opperated faultlessly.
