jonno
My first FAC is due to be renewed in December and I'm based in Hampshire. Does anyone know if the 'only on land' condition is automatically removed to make it open or is that discussed at the renewal interview? Muddy Funker
I wouldn't chance it being opened as a matter of course, mention it to the FEO and I'm sure it'll happen.
bedwards1966
Yes, you need to ask to make sure it does happen.
ging125
Do you need to fill in the entire form or is a letter sufficient? If cert is still in date? Also if you wantto increase the ammunition allowance can this done by letter?
luckytrigger
On my last renewal i just asked my feo and was granted an open ticket.
Olliesims
I asked for an open cert with a feo with my first variation I had which was about 14 months of having a fac he looked at the amout of ammo I had used it it and said he will ask the person above him, when it came in the post all calibre was open even the ones I had put in for on variation, I think it depends on the police force tho some say minimum first renewal it's always worth asking tho the worst they can say is no
bedwards1966
A letter is enough to ask for an open certificate and an increase in ammunition quantities.
