A Few More Foxes

Quick video of three foxes shot last night. The quality has degenerated alot from the upload so apologies for that. If I can find a better way or anyone's got a suggestion then I'd be glad to hear it.

Setup is a CZ 527-2 .223, Roedale Mod, and my self build night vision.

The three victims. Two vixens and dog, all this years by the look of the teeth.

Edit: I should add, all shot on foot using a mono stick.

Hi Greg,

Could I ask how you build your night vision goggles or screen, I have a problem with some foxes on our lil syndicate, what I normally do its to wait with my shotgun and n1 cartdriges on the paths at dusk and managed to despatch one in that way, but now that the night draws in earlier and fox comes out later in the dark, I feel that it would be very unsafe to shoot an animal that I only reconize by the silhouette, thats why like many others I'm looking to build a cheaper night vision tool, something that will help me to identify the animal that I'm about to shoot with 100% certanty that is the fox and not a dog with walker behind.

Hi Mark. I built it using an 'action camera' type system and mounted it to look through the scope with the screen mounted on top. After removing the IR filter from the camera it picks up IR light so combined with the IR laser illuminator it is very effective. In effect it is similar in use to an NS200 device but cost me around £250 to make.

Greg.

Hi Greg,

Ty for repply, I was looking to build something cheaper, because in anycase I would shoot in the 30-25 yards range, so something that is able to see at 80-100 yards and then would squeak them in, probably I am a lil to hopefull that its possible to build a night vision tool for lil money
