dazsl
whats the going rate per acre for shooting rights
scolopax
Good question, but we really need to know more, it really really depends on what rights you want and the type of ground, game shooting, stalking, wildfowl, pigeon/vermin, all can be let separately or together. Topography, well hilly well wooded land with provision for game crops will go for way more than flat farm land with little woodland.
dazsl
400 acre rolling land small bits wooded game duck vermin no stalking no game crops
scolopax
I would be thinking of a four figure sum. I know that some small estates with big woods and steep valleys have gone for silly money, rumour was an 800 acre estate was going for well in excess of £20K pa, but that could cater for big bag high bird commercial days. spanj
sounds like £1500 per annum would be about right for that............
hillmouse
£1500-£2000 depending on woodland, ponds and other habitat. Work on a mid point of £5-00/acre and adjust up or down according to what is on offer, location, competition and owners involvement.
