East Midlands clay shoot

Just started to get back on the clays on a Sunday mornings after the arrival of our 1st child 10 months ago and turned up today to find that the current chap who runs it is not renewing the lease and it is going to be run by someone else from the 1st October. I wish Bob the current owner all the best for the future as he's a thoroughly nice chap.

I hope the people who take it on do not change it massively as at the moment it's a friendly no frills shoot with plenty of variation of traps each week and not too expensive at £10 a round of sporting.

Wondered if any of the other PW massive use this ground and what you think to the change in ownership.

I do now and again, in fact I was there yesterday after a long time of not going, to find out it was Bobs last day. I'm hoping the new owners won't change the formula too much, it works ever so well as a turn up and shoot groud, very little elitism and the diversity of people there makes it.

I imagine it could do well with a bit of a tart up.

I wish I knew Bob was legging it, I would of took the lease on!

Where is the ground located please

Sawley, just off the A50.
