peek-at
Hi, I'm just a bit puzzled after fitting a new scope to my CZ452 rimmy with SAK mod. My old scope was damaged so I replaced it for the identical model. (Nikko Gameking 4-16x50 AO illum.) my old mildot ranges were.......... zero = 50yds 1 = 70 yds 2 = 85 yds 3 = 98 yds (Although the actual mag was 14, chairgun pro had to be set at 15 to show the same POI's as proved against targets) My new scope was set at 14 mag (field of view seems same as old scope) & tested against target and gave the following figures... Zero = 50yds 1 = 65yds 2 = 75yds (I played with the mag settings on chairgun and had to set it at 22 to get the same ranges) My question isnt about the use of chairgun, but simply is it usual for the ranges for each mildot to change like this when its the identical model on the same rifle with same mod? chairgun settings (for those interested) .22 eley subs 40.2 gr 90.25ft/lbs 50yd zero scope height 2 inch cheers Edited October 7, 2012 by peek-at
peek-at
I'm thinking that the new scope just has more mag than the indication marks make out........... Will try dialing out a bit of mag and the POI's should come back to where they were - hopefully
wymberley
Repeatability is, unfortunately, directly proportional to cost.
