tigger
I still believe that the best way to get permissions is to go beating for a local shoot and when you show your a decent and reliable individual you can have all the pest control you want that's how I got mine put a bit of time and effort in to finding some gamekeepers who need beaters and you shall reap the rewards..... tigger
thanks for the replies and advice finding out about beating sounds intresting and a possible new route to look at thanks Seriously mate I stand by that being the easiest way I got 3800 acres the first season then the following season I went beating on another shoot and got more than I realistically could handle so within two seasons I got all that just by beating and picking up so that's the way to go mate IMO, good luck in your searching
greener86
This happened to me when I was 16 I worked on a clay shoot on the Wirral Sundays after noon then would come up and walk the gun dogs + take a gun with me on the land were the clay shoot was then the same year they reared up pheasant chicks to put down on a shoot in north wales which I helped out on no pay got some ferreting and pigeon shooting in return and beating we're the chicks went down later on beaters shoot and more ferreting 2 year later I gave it up 😫 Now I have make licence back I got to start again 25 years later but beating and helping out shoot managers, keeper , farmer will gain you shoot land to go on it work for me
