Boromir
I just took a look at my credit report and everything is upto date but one. O2 have defaulted me on an old contract that I quit 3 years ago for a measly £6. When I quit I paid £10 for my last payment and since ending the contract I have moved house and cause I thought I ended my contract with them I didnt tell them I moved. Could somebody tell me how to fix it on my credit file? As Noddle have scored me at 1/5 all because of O2.
Vipa
6 years from the date of the default and it will drop off the system... the only other way to do it is to get o2 to confirm in writing that the default was applied in error and then you can get it removed. whilst it seems unfair in what they have done, it doesn't appear to have been applied in error. nabbers
Print out a screen shot and send to credit agency after writing on it " MATTER IN DISPUTE, THIS IS NOT ME" Equifax or whoever remove it pending enquiries with O2 and O2 are unlike to quibble.
