rorygall
Hi I'm fairly new to pigeon shooting but enjoying it. I was shooting over cut maize fields at the weekend and got 7. Was hoping to go back on Wednesday as I've got a day off work, but I've just seen the field is being ploughed up already. Is it still worth decoying over a ploughed field ? It's under a flight line so there should be traffic, but just wonder if I'll be wasting my time. Any advice gratefully received. Thanks ??? TaxiDriver
On the freshly ploughed fields I drove past at the weekend there was plenty of pigeons on the fields, Might be dependant on what was in the field before being ploughed in ? rorygall
Well that was a waste of a day! Misty day, little wind, and the flight line must have had road works on it cos I only saw 4 pigeons from a distance. Sat in the field like a flippin' gnome for 3 hours and didn't even fire a shot. Gave it up as a bad job, went home and hit the gin and followed up with a few beers in the pub.
