Wildfowler325
Watched a field to day on my mates farm and there was about 1200 pinks on it! at 5 we decided to go see if we could bag aa few. when we arrived they were still there so we crawled along the hedge for about 200 yards and we got to a small group of six. we poped up from behind the hedge and got two from the group. then in the next field to us the huge flock of geese lifted and headed straight for us. we look cover and got another 2 from the big bunch all in all a very good, exiting nights shooting! I live near Fraserburgh ony 20miles from mintlaw! you never know might see you around Dare I say it we are shooting inland over decoys with Scott from SAC shooting I just love it as for where it could be anywhere in that area just depends where he finds some good numbers of geese feeding, I have been going up there for years now and we love it, we had a look down strathbeg one evening and what a sight seeing 10's of thousands of pinks coming in to roost there is just something about them. Thats where shoot! my uncle works the farm right next to the loch of strathbeg so i get free shooting right by the loch a lot of birds on the loch just know! Being local and knowing a lot of farmers means most of my shooting is free. I have to say you will enjoy your self up here !

You sound as you have some fantastic shooting you must get some good evening flights then when the winds right, would love to do more evening flights up there but think there is one or two guides that have access to do that most of them just flight over decoys in the mornings. Yip some good evening flights weather permiting of course! Id say you need atleast a 20mph wind to keep them low enough to shoot.
