  8. Sit the barrels on the end of a cloth in a sink basin and fill the barrels with boiling water. Leave for a few minutes and drain them out and give them a scrub with the brush. Should remove the stuborn stains. But be careful with it though
  9. Another for the Versamax, totally reliable!
  10. Had a great final flight yesterday. Conditions were the best they have been all season with a good 30+mph wind and ended up with 5 pinks and 4 mallard for my final flight! A fantastic way to end the season.
  11. I though that as well, one of the best looking iv shot! Also welldone to grandalf!!
  12. Sucessful morning out the the O/U this morning. Decided to leave the semi behind today and bring out my Browning. Was a stunning morning but sadly no wind, but still left with a nice flighted single pink!
  13. This was 50+ birds between two. Have seen the same guide have bags of over a hundered some mornings which is plain stupid in my mind.
  14. Goose guides up in aberdeenshire shooting stupid amounds of geese each morning early on in the season have pushed the geese further down south! I know a few of them and they were shooting 50+ a morning the week the pinks started arriving. I feel this has pushed the, down as they havent had time to settle.
  15. I would not! Putting 3" HP steel through a 20+ year old Side by Side with full choke is a complete no. I have the same gun and and would not put HP steel through it!! I would stick with looking for bismuth as it wont be as harsh on the gun and prevents opening the chokes out.
  16. Afternoon all, I am looking at getting some decoys for the pinks, but unsure what would be the best to get. I have seen shells, silosocks, fuds online. Im looking to get between 6-12 decoys For people that have used them what would you say are the most effective? Thanks WF
  17. Thanks guys, i thought that it needed to be signed to be valid. Atb Wf
  18. Post on behalf of a friend, A friend of mine is asking about his son's shotgun certificate. He has been visited by the FAO and he has granted him his licence. Last week they contacted the firearms department which told him his licence has been porcessed but is awaiting postage. His question is can his son (who is 17 i think) go out shooting alone before his licence arrives in the post? I though you had to wait untill it arrives before going shooting alone, but i could be wrong. Many thanks WF

  20. Been looking and in the browning wording the Inflex 2 pads are ment to be non snaging. If anyone has this pad please let me know what you think of it! It seem to be a good option for me as it has a plain look and will fit my gun without to much fitting. Many thanks Duncan
  21. The LOP with the kickeez is correct for me but like welshwarrior said, i find the pad very grippy.
  22. My kickeez is quite thin, around 15mm. I did look at the browning inflex 2 pad but dont know how people rate them. Anyone els have a recommendation for a nice looking non snaging recoil pad
