rallyrus
I'm going to part with my Wildcat pred 8 so I can get something lighter. Had a bit of a search about and the maxim seems to fit the bill, I want a over barrel type to keep the length of the rifle as short as possible, are there any others out there?? Swift nightingale looks good but the centre fire version isn't out until spring
Cumbrian
If it's any help, I'm entirely happy with my A-tec Maxim on a .223. Makes it sound like a.22 rimfire without a moderator. No need for ear defenders. Certainly not heavy. And looks good, too.
rallyrus
That's good to hear, it is o go on my .223 also. Going on info I can find its half the weight of my current P8
EMcC
I use my A-Tec Maxim on my .308 and 30-06 to good effect. I also have one for my .222 and .243, I could quite easily have made do with the one on all the rifles but I got the one with the 'smaller' hole cheap. Just make sure you take the 2 "wrenches" with you as mine came loose on its first outing. I got mine from Bromsgrove shooting supplies with the gun a few weeks ago. But they also sell them at Sandwell field sports. I paid £135 for mine.

How are the baffles standing up to the .204?? How quiet is it? Have you had anything to compare it with? Cheers
