It would seem that the lyalvale cartridges which I have use a malleable composite which conforms to CIP? I am assuming this allows similar choking to lead and bismuth?

All the US manufactures seem to be using a hard composite?

well, I patterned lyavale hevi 70mm no4s at 40yds with cyl and imp cyl, from a browning maxus with a backbored .742 barrel diameter, and the patterns were bloody awful, could have driven a bus through them, never mind a duck! I then changed to Mod choke.what a difference that made,141 shot inside a 30ins circle, cut open a cartridge which made me cry,but I thought I would be scientific about this.160 shot in cartridge, which I make this about 88% inside 30ins circle. So you might be on the right track with your Imp Mod choke,or maybe its brownings backbore barrels and Invector plus choke tubes!

Cheers
