Cosd
Had another day on the rape with my shooting buddy, was nice to get out as it always is but not as good as the previous week. Same fields, same set up but the birds didn't want to play ball. The birds that did decoy decoyed perfectly, but the percentage of birds coming in compared to what we saw in the air, was quite low. Changed the pattern a few times but they wasn't interested. I have to be honest and admit I wasn't shooting great, I should have had another dozen birds but for some reason It just didn't quite click for me. I hit some nice birds and a left and right which I was pleased with, but I missed some birds I really shouldn't be missing. I don't know what it was but my mount felt awkward! It didn't help that the birds didn't want to play and so there was long lulls between shots, I suppose I'll just have to put it down to a bad day at the office. 56 woodies and a crow between us Cos

rainman_l
56! and thats a bad day! Happens to us all sometimes. For me I get spells when either a) I get too relaxed, if its a slow day, and when I realise my mistake I get myself back on point mentally and usually improve or B) I take difficult birds (as I am focused) and fluff the sitters as I am overly confident with them.
