A shot in the arm for the South West.

I read that BASC article. I never realised that shooting was that big a sport to be honest. It certainly makes you wonder why so many people complain about it. More of these details should be put in the public press, it's no good telling the members of BASC about it because we are already pro shooting anyway! Think of the revenue the government gains taxing that lot! :drinks:

I don't think many people do complain about it, just the ones that do have loud voices.

It's always that way in life though isn't it. People never shout that loudly about the things that they enjoy, as they don't really feel the need. On the other hand, if something bugs you, you create over it until it's sorted! I think that these articles are a good start to putting our point forward to the public, but a lot more is needed. I try to do my bit by using my favourite conversation starter with the anti people. If I get a conversation going with them, I try to find out if they eat meat. If they do, how do they feel about a chicken stuck in a filthy barn? It's uncomfortable, and they can't kneel down without getting ammonia burns from their own droppings. I know a lad who processed these birds once. Look for grater marks on the leg joint where they hack off the burnt skin to make it look better! Yet that tasty pigeon I had for dinner yesterday had a great life before it died instantly with a .177 pellet to the head. You'd be surprised how many people really think when I hand out that information, and very few argue!
