another magnet question

I generally put the magnet so that the birds fly towards it from distance but get to the decoys before they reach it if that makes sense.

Saying that when there is zero wind and they are coming from any direction I have set up a random decoy pattern with the magnet in the middle and that has worked too.

The main thing is to watch the birds and they will tell you what they like or don't like, and adjust accordingly. Sometimes 10-15 yards movement of the magnet can make all the difference. So if it is t working don't be scared to move it.

this is what works for me too. zero wind and it will take a bit of moving around with the magnet and decoy pattern, try to watch what lines the birds are taking into your pattern and put the magnet so that they reach it last as not to get spooked.
