BerettaSV10
I don't think anyone can argue with that. Agree, can't argue with that. Don't mind getting breathalised as I don't drink, the police should not be above the law in the way they operate, as some streight out of law school think they are god almighty and can do what ever they want, bring back the old school beat bobby who knew their patch and what was going on in it. Another example of no common sense shown, was a bloke was sweeping up the rubbish on private ground, though is open to the public, dropped his fag end into the rubbish he was sweeping up. He was told that if he did not pick up the fag end he would be booked for lttering and I was there when it happened.
JonathanL
If your mother/wife/daughter was raped late at night with no CCTV or witnesses, the offender had no previous, was not from the area and there was nothing else to go on the DNA would tell the police who to look for straight away. I remember one where a bloke got nicked for stealing a kit kat. Some may say that it was over the top to arrest someone for this, especially as they had no previous. His DNA was taken and he was found to be the offender for a rape a few years previous. It would help catch offenders and prevent crime and I would be for that. You haven't answered the question though. Would you GPS chip everyone as this would undoubtedly held catch criminals. Why not to the whole way and put cameras in every room of everyones house? J. JonathanL
Just DNA and fingerprints. How do you think having a sample on record would effect day to day life of your average person and why do you think it's a step too far? Yes. I find it quite astonishing that anyone would have to ask that, to be honest. If the government has everyones DNA on file then it isn't a big stretch to come to the realisation that a future government might start to favour those with the 'right' sort of DNA or vice-versa. J. JonathanL
So it would have no effect on their life other than help to keep them safe, prevent and detect crime and lock up bad people. I don't think it's used to catalogue people, its used to screen DNA samples found at crime scenes against samples held on file. Harry It affects no ones life unless/until it is misused. J. That is a fair argument in favour of DNA sampling. It's a fair argument in favour of putting a state controlled camera in every room of everyones house or GPS tagging everyone. J.
